Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
